This strategy has come about from the work of the MRAQ, other motorcycle stakeholders and Queensland Transport via the Motorcycle Safety Working Group. The results of your comments to the recent QT consultation paper have also played a big part in the development of this document. More than 2300 responses were received to the consultation paper, which is a fantastic result. A big pat on the back to all you riders who responded!

The strategy plans a course of action to improve motorcycle safety in Queensland and includes a number of initiatives that will be introduced quickly, the most notable of which is the scrapping of the current 250cc restriction in favor of a LAMS scheme with 150kw/tonne and 660cc limit.
